Applications Now Open for the 2025 Writers’ Room Programme
Words Across Europe launches the second edition of its groundbreaking Writers’ Room Programme – the first-ever fully VR-based writers’ room in Europe. The programme Words Across Europe is co-funded by the Creative Europe MEDIA programme and the Dublin-based production company, Wide Eye Films.
This unique programme which launched an open call for proposals, will give emerging and experienced screenwriters the chance to collaborate in a dynamic, immersive VR environment, free from geographical constraints. Through the call, 9 writers from 9 European countries will be invited to work in virtual writers’ rooms through the latest VR technology to conceptualise original series for presentation to major industry players. Moreover, the writers will have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals, develop original TV series concepts, and take their craft to the next level in a fast-paced, interactive space.
