Creative Europe Desks: your gateway to the Creative Europe Program
Since the beginning of the programme period in 2021, Cypriot organisations have actively participated in the “Creative Europe” 2021-2027 programme implementing actions to foster cultural diversity, promote artistic expressing and boost the economic potential of the creative and cultural industries.
More specifically, in the period 2021-2022:
- 128 proposals from Cyprus were submitted to the Creative Europe programme;
- 27 proposals, in which Cypriot organisations participated, were selected for funding;
- €2,1 million were given to Cypriot organisations.
In the period 2023-2024:
- 213 proposals from Cyprus were submitted to the Creative Europe programme;
- 36 proposals, in which Cypriot organisations participated, were selected for funding;
- €3 million were given to Cypriot organisations.
In total, for the period 2021-2024:
- 341 proposals from Cyprus were submitted to the programme;
- 63 proposals, in which Cypriot organisations participated, were selected for funding;
- €5,1 million were given to Cypriot organisations.

- Free information and guidance on how to access funding opportunities under the Creative Europe Program.
- Regular updates on audiovisual and culture related issues at European level.
- Networking support facilitating contact between cultural operators in different countries and partner finding opportunities.

What Is Creative Europe?
Creative Europe is the European Commission’s flagship programme to support the culture and audiovisual sectors. Creative Europe invests in actions that reinforce cultural diversity and respond to the needs and challenges of the cultural and creative sectors. The programme 2021-2027 has a budget of € 2.44 billion and will contribute to the recovery of these sectors, reinforcing their efforts to become more inclusive, more digital and environmentally more sustainable.
The main objectives of the programme are to:
- safeguard, develop and promote European cultural and linguistic diversity and heritage;
- increase the competitiveness and economic potential of the cultural and creative sectors, in particular the audiovisual sector.
