Let’s pitch some shorts! – Workshop & Pitching Forum 2026

Calling all directors, screenwriters, producers working on short fiction film projects!

The Creative Europe MEDIA Desks from Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia in cooperation with the Filmski centar Crne Gore (Film Center of Montenegro), the Arts Council Malta and the Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations are launching the new – 11th edition of “Let’s pitch some shorts!” – a workshop and pitching forum designed to help film professionals prepare and present their short film projects to the industry.

Led by the renowned German producer Roshanak Behesht Nedjad (In Good Company), member of the European and German Film Academies, EAVE graduate and mentor.

Dates

  • Workshop: June 15–17, 2026 | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM | Vern’ University, Zagreb
  • Pitching Forum: June 18, 2026 | 10:30 AM | Kaptol Boutique Cinema, Zagreb

PRIZES

Jury: representatives of Euro Connection (Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market), European Short Pitch, Sayonara Film and the Baltic Pitching Forum.

Up to 10 projects will be selected from the participating countries.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications must include:

  • CV (maximum 1 page)
  • Photograph
  • Synopsis (maximum 1 page)
  • Logline (3 sentences)
  • Financial plan (if applying with a producer), or estimated film budget (if applying solo as director/screenwriter)
  • Director’s concept
  • Answer to the question: “Who is your target audience and why?”

Send your application (PDF will the all requested material) at ng@epcr.org.cy by 17 May 2026. The application form and all requested materials, as well as the entire workshop, will be in English. Please note that participants will be required to complete “homework.”

The Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations, operating the Europe Desk Cyprus will cover the travel and accommodation expenses for 2 participants from Cyprus.
