Online Pitching
After receiving 47 submitted projects, 8 promising TV series in development have been selected for the fifth edition of Series Rough Pitch – The Balkan Way, an online pitching event organised by the CED – MEDIA Offices from Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro and Serbia. The 8 selected projects will be presented online to a jury of industry experts.
The event provides a platform for Western Balkan creators to present their series projects to leading European industry experts, fostering international collaboration and supporting regional talent in the field of high-end television production.
The event will be livestreamed through the Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Croatia Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The selected projects and their creative teams:
- Suspicious Circumstances (Croatia) — Daria Stilin (creator), Danijel Pek (producer / Antitalent) & Frank Spotnitz (producer / Big Light Productions, UK)
- Athena Tsunami (Greece) — Vasiliki Lazaridou (writer, director)
- The Second (Serbia) — Darko Lungulov (writer, director)
- Riders of the Mist (Montenegro) — Ana Vujadinović Tomić (writer) & Marko Jaćimović (producer / Giggling Goat Production)
- Uncarved (Croatia) — Mile Božičević (screenwriter) & Andri Óttarsen (producer / Glassriver, Iceland)
- Forsaken (Hungary) — Fruzsina Fekete (screenwriter)
- Killing Isle (Cyprus) — Harry Ayiotis (writer, director)
- You Can Always Come Back (Croatia) — Tena Gojić (creator) & Miljenka Čogelja (producer / Pipser)
The jury will present several awards:
- Best Pitch Award – €5,000
- WIFTI Peace Prize – €3,000 (sponsored by Damn Fool Productions)
- Co-development Award – Beta Group Content & Coproduction
- EPI Scholarship – Erich Pommer Institut
- Mentors’ Special Mention
