The Organisation for European Programmes and Cultural Relations (OEPCR), which operates the “Creative Europe Desk Cyprus” and the “CERV Cyprus National Contact Point” organises an online info session on navigating the Culture Moves Europe” funding scheme, with the aim of informing and supporting the beneficiaries.

The “Culture Moves Europe” funding scheme provides mobility grants for artists and cultural professionals in all 40 countries participating in the Creative Europe programme. It covers the fields of architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing and visual arts.

With a budget of €21 million, Culture Moves Europe offers mobility grants to around 7,000 artists, cultural professionals and host organisations from 2022 to 2025 and is implemented by the Goethe-Institut.

Two types of grants: individual mobility (for individuals and groups of up to five people – individual mobility) and residencies.

  1. Individual mobility offers financial support to individuals travelling between 7 and 40 days or to groups of up to 5 persons travelling between 7 and 14 days.
  2. The residencies action is aimed at organisations and established individual artists who organise regular residencies and are interested in hosting artists and cultural professionals.

The seminar aims to provide beneficiaries with information on:

  • Key aspects of the above call & eligibility criteria,
  • The criteria and criteria for the call for proposals and the eligibility criteria
  • The eligibility criteria, eligibility criteria, eligibility criteria, eligibility criteria, eligibility criteria and the criteria for the application process.
  • the priorities of the project actions
  • the application procedure.

The call is open to all cultural and creative sectors. Under the terms of the call, the following bodies are eligible to apply:

natural persons and/or legal entities (public or private bodies), active in the field of architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing and visual arts, established in the eligible countries participating in the Creative Europe Programme , EU Member States and non-EU countries linked tothe Creative Europe Programme.

Seminar programme:

  • Introduction by the Operational Programme Coordinator of the Agency for European Programmes and Cultural Relations and Head of the Creative Europe and CERV Offices.
  • Presentation of the ‘Culture Moves Europe‘ funding scheme ( individual mobility and residence action).
  • Antigoni Vatylioti, Project Officer, Culture Moves Europe, Institut Gete Brussels.
  • Presentation of examples of good practice examples of successful proposals that have received funding through the “Culture Moves Europe” project.
  • Questions and discussion.

A few words about the guest

Antigoni Vatylioti is originally from Cyprus and has been living in Brussels since 2019. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Language, Literacy and Education, University of Cyprus, and has done further studies in Cultural Studies at the Catholic University of Leuven (KULeuven). Currently, Antigone is a member of the Goethe Institute in Brussels, contributing her expertise to the Culture Moves Europe project by overseeing funding for artist residencies across Europe. Prior to that, she worked as a teacher and educator in non-formal education, and gained significant experience in EU projects at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (EAC). She then worked for three years as Project Manager for Erasmus+ programmes.
