Event information
The Organisation for European Programmes and Cultural Relations (OEPCR), in the framework of its mission as CERV Cyprus National Contact Point, is organising an Informative and Networking Event. The event, which is open to the public, will be attended by civil society organisations, public bodies, local authorities and research centres. Its aim is to showcase funding opportunities under the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme, highlight CERV-funded projects implemented by Cypriot organisations and foster networking opportunities that will strengthen collaboration between civil society, governmental, and civic organisations.
The event, which will be conducted in Greek, is organised in collaboration with Larnaka 2030 – European Capital of Culture Candidate City. It seeks to highlight the role of local organisations and institutions in the Larnaka district, with a strong focus on promoting equality, inclusion, and cultural activity.
The event will be held on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, 09:00 – 13:30 at the Youth Makerspace Larnaka, Vizantiou street, 6030 Larnaca. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. To confirm your participation, register here.
The event will feature a brief presentation of the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme. The main part of the event will include a presentation of six CERV-funded projects that focus on promoting the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, strengthening networks of European towns, enhancing gender equality, combating stereotypes, enhancing youth participation in democratic life, and raising awareness of maternal care. The projects will be presented by representatives from the organisations: ASPON Consulting Ltd, the Municipality of Athienou, the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI Cyprus), Birth Forward, C.I.P. Citizens in Power and Cyprus Family Planning Association.
A light lunch will be served after the event, creating a space for networking and discussion.
