Europe Day 2026
On Saturday, 9 May 2026, the Foinikoudes seafront in Larnaca will host the Europe Day celebrations.
The events include:
- 17:00 – 19:30 European Village – Get to know institutions and organisations representing European Union programmes and initiatives, as well as EU Member State embassies.
- 18:30–19:30: Philharmonic Orchestra and photo exhibition inauguration – Parade by the Φιλαρμονική Δήμου Λάρνακας (Larnaca Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra) and inauguration of the photo exhibition titled: “Beneath the Surface: CMMI’s Dive into Marine Sciences” organised by CMMI – Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute.
- 19:30–21:00: Music Programme – Concert by the Larnaca Municipality Children’s Choir, and a musical event inspired by Mediterranean and European music.
The Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations, operating the Creative Europe Desk Cyprus, the CERV Cyprus National Contact Point, the New European Bauhaus Cyprus National Contact Point and as the Coordinator of the Anna Lindh Foundation Cyprus Network, will participate in the European Village at Stand 10, where participants can receive information about funding opportunities offered by the Creative Europe, Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme and New European Bauhaus programmes, as well as opportunities to strengthen intercultural dialogue offered by the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The event is organised by the European Commission in Cyprus and the European Parliament Office in Cyprus in cooperation with Larnaka Municipality and EUROPE DIRECT Larnaca, under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026.
