4th Festival for the Promotion of Gender Equality FEMME FEST Cyprus

On 24 and 25 May 2025, the 4th Festival for the Promotion of Gender Equality – Femme Fest Cyprus will take place at the Municipal Garden in Nicosia. The festival is organised by the Women’s Movement POGO, supported by the Commissioner for Gender Equality and the National Mechanism for Women’s Rights and hosted by the Nicosia Municipality.
Date: Saturday and Sunday, 24 & 25 May 2025
Time: 17:00-21:00 (for the booth section)
Location: Nicosia Municipal Garden
This two-day festival includes:
- Booths where women from various fields will showcase their activities, actions, and talents
- Booths hosting state agencies, semi-governmental organizations, universities, research centers, NGOs, and groups engaged in women’s rights and gender equality
- Thematic centers where visitors can learn about gender equality issues
- A creative children’s corner, allowing parents to participate in the festival’s activities without distractions
- Discussion panels featuring parallel discussions, presentations, and workshops on gender equality topics throughout the day
- A central stage for artistic performances
- Food and beverage areas
Femme Fest Cyprus aims to foster discussion on gender issues, promote women’s empowerment, enhance their visibility, and challenge gender stereotypes.
The Organisation for European Programmes and Cultural Relations, as the operator of the Creative Europe Desk Cyprus, the CERV Cyprus National Contact Point and as Head of the Anna Lindh Foundation Cyprus Network will participate at the Festival with a booth, where participants can receive information on EU programmes funding opportunities (Creative Europe & CERV) and the opportunities that Anna Lindh Foundation offers for strengthening intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
