EUNIC annual summer General Assembly 2025

EUNIC General Assembly 2025 | H’ART Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands | 18-19 June 20025

The Organisation for European Programmes and Cultural Relations, as a national member of the EU National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), participated at EUNIC General Assembly, which was hosted by Dutch Culture, on 18-19 June 2025 at H’ART Museum in Amsterdam. The General Assembly marked the start of a new EUNIC presidency as Kirsten van den Hul, DutchCulture, stepped into the role of EUNIC President. The Assembly also elected Hugues Ghenassia-de Ferran, as EUNIC Board Member and Gitte Zschoch, as EUNIC Vice President.

The meeting, which was attended by 50 heads and representatives of EUNIC member organisations, included the following key highlights:

  • The new Strategic Framework and the operationalization of EUNIC’s 3 key pillars as a doing, advocating and learning network;
  • Highly practical insights and exchanges on new alliances and resilience, climate action, and EU Council presidencies;
  • A reaffirmed commitment and continued collaboration with the Ukrainian Institute;
  • Updates on the Spaces of Culture programme, Mobility Scheme 2025-26 and the EUNIC cluster network.

The programme also reflected the rich cultural context of our host city, with local cultural visits and a welcome reception hosted by the Deputy Mayor of the City of Amsterdam.
