The Cairo-based ARD Art Institution offers various art residencies programmes hosting artists in the fields of visual arts, creative writing, photography and curation.
ARD ART Intitution is an art institution founded by Hana El-Beblawy in 2022 specialising in the field of contemporary art practices within the local and international art scene. Its focus is to create a diverse artistic programming with a wide range of activities inspired by the unique and multifaceted city of Cairo.
ARD International is a process-based, one-to-three month artist residency that includes talks, workshops, open studios and exhibitions by resident practitioners. The residency offers international artists from different fields and domains the opportunity to work in specially equipped studios, conduct research, develop and showcase their artistic projects. Through the residency, artists will strengthen their skills and competencies by living and working in a dynamic environment, while expanding their network. In the institution’s premises, other parallel events and programmes will be implemented. The residency’s cost is 1,500 dollars per month.
