Graphic Stories 2025

The 11th edition of the International Conference and Festival on Visual Communication, Graphic Stories 2025, was successfully held from 18 to 20 July 2025 in Paphos. This year’s three-day event served as a vibrant hub for professionals and enthusiasts in the field of visual communication, showcasing and reinforcing creativity, innovation, and cultural exchange.

Once again, Graphic Stories underscored the critical role of visual communication as a means of expression and social engagement, with direct relevance to both the business world and the wider social and cultural landscape. The rich and diverse programme featured engaging lectures, exhibitions, and hands-on workshops exploring themes such as typography, calligraphy, artificial intelligence, publishing, and the business dimensions of design.

On 19 and 20 July, participants also had the opportunity to visit the international poster exhibition “TREE & ME” – Graphic Stories 2025 x Calanca Biennale, and take part in specialized workshops that delved into various aspects of design, technology, and personal development.

This year’s event was co-organized by the Organisation of European Programmes and Cultural Relations (OEPCR), which manages the Creative Europe Desk Cyprus (CED CY). The Desk made a significant contribution to the programme with a dedicated information session on the Creative Europe Programme, providing insights into current funding opportunities under both the Culture and MEDIA strands. The presentation offered practical guidance and valuable information to professionals and organizations across the cultural and creative sectors interested in accessing European funding.

The conference attracted participants from across the design, arts, and cultural fields, fostering meaningful dialogue, idea exchange, and professional networking within the creative community.

OEPCR extends its sincere thanks to the organizers of Graphic Stories for their excellent collaboration and the opportunity to actively contribute to a festival that continues to establish itself as a key reference point for visual communication in Cyprus and beyond. Events like this play a vital role in advancing public discourse on the importance of creativity and culture in contemporary society.
