Location: Room 114, University of Nicosia, 46 Makedonitissas Avenue, 2417 Nicosia

TRUST is a two-year transnational project that aims to ensure the capacity and resilience of women’s specialist services (WSS) to more effectively adapt and upscale their services and interventions in response to the challenges brought by the COVID-19 crisis and the post-pandemic environment; and to develop robust mechanisms in preparation for future emergencies/crises.

The session aims to present the results of the TRUST project highlighting the resilience methods and techniques women’s specialist services employed to adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic and the tools they developed in preparation for future crises. Following this, a panel discussion on handling and combatting cyberbullying will be held with the participation of public and private sector experts (police and judicial officials, teachers) on preventing and combatting domestic violence and gender-based violence.

In the framework of the event, the Organisation for European Programmes and Cultural Relations, as the CERV Cyprus National Contact Point will address a welcome speech and present the CERV programme, highlighting the valuable contribution of the programme in supporting actions that tackle all forms of violence against women or children and support the victims but also the services that provide help to these people.

The event is open to by government officials, policymakers, members of Parliament and members of the European Parliament, professionals working in services supporting victims of violence, police officers, social welfare representatives, judicial officials, healthcare providers, civil society sector’s representatives and other relevant stakeholders.
