Online Info Session: Funding Opportunities through the Circulation of European Literary Works (CREA-CULT-2024-LIT) of the European Programme “Creative Europe”

Creative Europe Desk Cyprus invites you to a presentation of the Circulation of European Literary Works (CREA-CULT-2024-LIT) call of the European Programme Creative Europe.

The Circulation of European literary works (CREA-CULT-2024-LIT) call of the Creative Europe Programme for 2024 supports the translation, promotion and circulation of European literary works of fiction (novels, poetry, comics, etc.) with a total budget of €5 million. 40 projects will be funded and the call is open to individual organisations or consortia.

Interested organisations may apply individually or as part of a consortium with at least two eligible organisations. Each project must be based on a sound editorial and promotional strategy covering a package of at least five eligible fiction works translated into and from the languages detailed on the next page.

Applicants may apply with projects of different sizes, with these different caps on the number of translated books and the funding they will receive:

Small scale: projects proposing the translation of up to 10 different books can receive up to EUR 100 000.

Medium-scale: projects proposing the translation of up to 20 different books can receive up to EUR 200 000.

Large-scale: projects proposing the translation of at least 21 different books may receive up to EUR 300 000.

The seminar aims to provide beneficiaries with information on:

• Key aspects of the above call & eligibility criteria,
• The basic principles and criteria for eligibility, including the eligibility criteria and the main features of the call for proposals, and any differences between the calls and those of previous years,
• Overview of award criteria & relevant advice,
• Presentation of the call priorities and horizontal priorities,
• key elements and comments on the selection results of previous years 2021-2023, application procedure .

The call is open to all cultural and creative sectors. Under the terms of the call, the following entities are eligible to apply: legal entities (public or private), active in the publishing and book sector with a legal status of at least 2 years at the closing date for applications, established in the eligible countries participating in the Creative Europe Programme, EU Member States and non-EU countries associated withthe Creative Europe Programme.
