The Organisation for European Programmes and Cultural Relations, in collaboration with Materahub, British Council and the Anna Lindh Foundation is launching the training programme titled “Empowering Creative and Cultural Professionals in the Euro – Mediterranean region”.
This programme is designed for professionals in the cultural and creative sectors across the Euro-Mediterranean region who wish to improve their professional skills. The training, based on advanced methodologies from EU-funded initiatives like DEUS and CYANOTYPES, will cover essential competences such as creative business development, problem-solving, and digital tools usage, all within the context of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and will focus on four key thematic areas:
- Entrepreneurial Change,
- Transversal Competences
- Digital Proficiency, and
- Sustainable Practices.
The training aims to equip participants with the tools to develop innovative projects, manage cultural enterprises, navigate digital environments, and integrate sustainability into their professional practices, all within the context of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and resilience building.
The programme, offered free of charge, will launch in September 2025 and will be delivered through a flexible online learning platform, including:
- Four thematic courses (12 modules in total)
- Approximately 35 hours of self-paced learning
- Five weekly live sessions, each lasting 60 minutes
Following the online component, the top 40 most engaged participants will be invited to a four-day in-person training and networking event in Cyprus, from 6 to 9 November 2025. This final event will focus on applying the knowledge gained in a practical, challenge-based format and fostering cross-regional collaboration.
The programme is open to professionals based in the EU, UK, and South Mediterranean countries (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon), with priority given to women, youth (≤35), minorities, and individuals with migrant backgrounds. All applicants must have a very good command of English and a demonstrated intec
